Regular visitors as well as guests are invited to Vintage for a free MindMatters presentation. The hour-long informative lecture titled “The Great War and the 21st Century" will be given by Carl Strikwerda, a 20th century historian and president of Elizabethtown College. The production will be streamed over high-speed internet by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and WITF, Harrisburg's Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio affiliate. The presentation examines how the first World War shaped the 20th century as well as our current century. A live question-and-answer session will follow the lecture to give attendees the opportunity to submit questions to Strikwerda for real-time video discussion. And the conversation doesn’t have to stop there – anyone can go online to the dedicated MindMatters Facebook page to have a conversation between presentation viewers across the commonwealth: facebook.com/witfmindmatters .
